After a great week of non-violent communication in Sieben Linden, we left our bikes behind for two weeks of backpacking through France and England. We first spent a few days with friends near Fontainebleau and visited Paris and Le Havre for a few days. Then we took a ferry from Caen to Portsmouth and enjoyed a friend’s hospitality on Hayling Island. From there we took a train to the famous transition town of Totnes. Since our budget was a bit strained from cold night which made camping difficult, we then headed to London and took a couple of days to thouroughly explore this vibrant capital.
